What we collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Information you give us directly. When you submit a lead form, take a diagnostic, subscribe to the weekly Playbook tactic, or fill in any other capture surface on the site, we collect what you type — typically an email address, sometimes a business name, website URL, industry, business stage, or a short description of what you want help with. Required fields are marked. Optional fields are optional.
- Information from your interaction with the site. We collect basic analytics about how visitors use goodlookingco.com — page views, scroll depth, which CTAs get clicked, which diagnostics get started and completed. This is collected through Google Analytics 4 and is used to understand which content actually helps and which does not.
- Information from your tool interactions. When you take a diagnostic (the Easy-to-Work-With quiz, the RGL Snapshot, or any other tool), we record the answers and the result so we can send you the personalized version if you choose to share your email at the end. If you do not share your email, the result is not stored.
Why we collect it
We use the information to: deliver the result or follow-up you asked for (the printable Field Guide, the personalized snapshot, the weekly tactic), respond to you if you asked us to reach out, and improve the content and tools on the site. That is the entire list. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run third-party ad pixels.
Where it lives
Lead-form submissions are stored in our database (Supabase) and trigger an internal email notification (Resend) so we see new leads in real time. Analytics events are sent to Google Analytics 4. Email subscribers are managed through our outbound email provider. We use industry-standard infrastructure providers and only the minimum number of vendors required to run the site.
How long we keep it
We keep lead-form submissions and email-subscriber records for as long as you remain a contact. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your record, we delete it within 30 days. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics 4's default retention window (currently 14 months) and then auto-deleted.
What you can do
- Unsubscribe. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. We honor it immediately.
- Request your data. Email hello@goodlookingco.com and we will send you a copy of everything we have stored about you within 30 days.
- Request deletion. Email the same address and we will delete every record tied to your email address within 30 days. There is no form to fill out.
- Opt out of analytics. If you do not want your visit tracked, use a browser-level Do Not Track setting or an analytics blocker. We do not override either.
SMS & MMS messaging (Lead Rescue)
Lead Rescue is a first-party customer communication platform used by local service businesses (such as med spas, dentists, aesthetic clinics, and home service companies) to follow up with people who contacted them through their own website or landing page. Lead Rescue is not a lead marketplace and does not sell or share lead information with third parties. Messages are sent only on behalf of the business that the recipient contacted directly.
How you opt in. Recipients opt in by submitting a form on the Lead Rescue website or a Lead Rescue landing page on goodlookingco.com to request information, a demo, pricing, setup help, or follow-up about the Lead Rescue platform. The form clearly identifies Lead Rescue and states that by submitting, the recipient agrees to receive SMS messages from Lead Rescue related to their request, including follow-up, scheduling, and account setup assistance. Links to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy are presented at the time of opt-in.
What we send. This program covers two categories of messages:
- Customer care / transactional inquiry follow-up. Confirmation that an inquiry was received, appointment or demo options, quote information, answers to a question, or coordination of a callback.
- Promotional / re-engagement (optional). Reminders to complete booking, limited-time offers, seasonal promotions, service announcements, or availability updates — sent only to recipients who explicitly check the separate marketing-consent box at opt-in. Marketing consent is not required to submit the form or receive request-related follow-up.
Frequency, rates, and disclosures. Typical inquiry-related volume is 1–4 messages per inquiry over 1–7 days. Promotional messaging is occasional. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Every message identifies the sending business by name and includes opt-out instructions.
Opting out (STOP). Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or STOPALL at any time. STOP requests are honored immediately. You will receive one final confirmation: “You have been unsubscribed from Lead Rescue messages and will receive no further texts. Reply START to resubscribe. Msg & data rates may apply.”
Getting help (HELP). Reply HELP or INFO and you will receive: “Lead Rescue: For help, reply here or email hello@goodlookingco.com. Reply STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply.” You can also email hello@goodlookingco.com or call (317) 758-7781.
Re-subscribing. If you previously opted out and want to receive messages again, reply START, YES, or UNSTOP. You will receive: “You have resubscribed to Lead Rescue messages and will now receive texts again. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.”
Consent records. We maintain consent records for each opt-in, including timestamp, IP address, page URL, consent type, and the exact disclosure language presented at the time of submission.
No sharing of mobile information. Mobile information (phone numbers and consent status) collected for SMS/MMS messaging is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with the messaging vendors strictly required to deliver the messages you have consented to receive (currently Twilio and Bird).
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies for analytics (Google Analytics 4) and to remember whether you have already dismissed a modal or banner during your visit. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not share cookie data with ad networks.
Children
The site is intended for business owners and operators. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and update the “last updated” date at the top. Substantive changes will also be announced in the weekly email to subscribers.
